Derby Dudes,
After a few up and down weekends, Scott had a positive lead going into the FOY and the Risen Star this past weekend.
After barely showing, he still has the lead, but the comfortable lead has dwindled a bit. Rookie capper, Mike Minterbomb
has been consistant each weekend, spreading the love all over the track. But it has shown to pay off this past weekend
with Bomb being the big winner, cashing over $45 for the weekend. The other contestants, Adam and myself, had another
ok showing for the races this weekend even though we wiffed in the FOY Stakes. Some had rumored the large weekend of
binge drinking had some effect on the two cappers. They were spotted at Bluffs Run Casino cashing mulitple tickets on
the dogs. Lets hope these two find away to battle back, and make this years race for the title a gritty hard fought
victory for whoever wins!
As for this weekends race, the Gotham Stakes in New York will host a number of three year olds, headlined by Hansen the
runner up in the Holy Bull to Algorithims. Hansen will be making his second start off his long layoff, and I see him
with a bounce back performance. He shouldn't have too much trouble winning this race, although he truly doesn't need
to win to make the Derby. It really will be his to lose! Once the pps come out for this race, I will have my full
analysis. Until then, RIDE!
